The Associate of Science in Criminal
Justice Degree requires that a student complete thirty (30) semester hours of General Education courses. The General Education courses include
subjects other than those within the areas of the degree concentration. General Education courses encourage
study in different areas and provide a common Undergraduate experience for
all students. A grade of "C" or better is
required for transfer credit. All credit must have been earned at a
recognized accredited institution. An example of General Education
courses that will meet the requirements is provided. Southwest University’s Bachelor of
Science in Criminal Justice Degree program is designed for students
who have earned an Associate Degree or a minimum of sixty (60) semester
hours of undergraduate courses. At least thirty (30) semester hours,
10 courses, must be general education courses. All credit must have
been earned at a recognized accredited institution. A grade of
"C" or better is required for transfer credit. General Education courses provide a
foundation upon which students build a common body of knowledge. These
courses include subjects other than those within the areas of professional
